Bed and Breakfast Terms and Conditions.
Thank you for choosing to stay at Windhaven Bed & Breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you to our family run business. By making this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our Terms and Conditions of booking below.
Booking Confirmation and Deposit
A 15% deposit is payable before your reservation can be confirmed.
Deposits can be paid by bank transfer or via PayPal. All bookings are confirmed by email.
Prices and Payment
The price includes accommodation and a full English Cooked Breakfast. The balance of your payment is payable on arrival and can be made in cash or by credit/debit card only. cheques are not accepted.
Breakfast will be served between 7.30am and 9.30am. Please fill in your breakfast card by 9pm the evening of arrival and leave it on the tea/coffee table.
Cancellation of Bookings
If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. For a cancellation made up to 14 days before your booked stay, your deposit will be refunded in full. All cancellations made after this time; the deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Non-Availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your stay if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer alternative accommodation.
If this is not possible or acceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival and Departure
Your accommodation will be available to you from 2pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We would like the room vacated by 10.30am, unless otherwise arranged.
Check-in is no later than 8pm unless otherwise arranged.
It would be much appreciated if you could let us know your estimated time of arrival.
Pets
Sorry, we do not allow pets in the bedrooms or communal lounge.
Smoking and Narcotics
All properties abide by the No Smoking Law. Narcotics, whether legal or illegal, including Marijuana, will not be permitted in the rooms or communal lounge.
Breakages and Damages
You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents.
Liability
We do not accept any liability or responsibility for any damage to/theft of any vehicle or possessions. We do not accept any liability or responsibility for the loss of/damage to any property, cash or jewellery. We do accept any liability or responsibility for death or injury to you or any member of your party unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees.
Privacy Policy
Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer. We will not share your details with any third party.

Camping Terms and Conditions.
Booking
Our site can only be used for recreational, non-commercial purposes and are subject to a maximum of 21 nights in any one visit. The number of people staying on a site must not exceed the number originally booked. We reserve the right to refuse bookings should they appear unsuitable for the property and can refuse admission on arrival if any aspect of the booking is misrepresented. In this event a full refund would be provided. We reserve the right to refuse or ask any guest or visitor to leave, whose conduct is believed to be detrimental to the property, or disruptive to other guests and staff, and no refund will be due.
Arrival and Departure Times
It is requested that you arrive at the property between the times of 1pm and 6pm. Please telephone Phil on 07590428183 if you have any problems or are going to be late. You must vacate the property by 11am on the day of departure. We reserve the right to charge for an extra night for late departures unless by prior agreement.
Cancellations/Changes in dates.
We ask all guests to notify us of any date, mode of camping or number of people changes to bookings, at least 7 days prior to arrival. Bookings cancelled 14 or more days prior to your arrival will be refunded in full. No refunds for bookings cancelled within the 14-day period.

Pets
Where pets are accepted, they must be kept under control at all times and are to be KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES ON THE PROPERTY. Owners are responsible for clearing up any areas fouled by their pets and placed in a bag in the bucket provided. If your pet causes disturbance to others, you will be asked to remove it from the property. Pets are not permitted in the Toilets/Showers. Pets are not permitted to stay in cars overnight or to be left in cars unattended for any duration that would be considered to be harmful to their health. PETS MUST BE FULLY UP TO DATE WITH THEIR VACCINATIONS.
Litter
Litter MUST be SEPERATED for recycling and placed in the correct bins provided. DO NOT PUT MIXED RUBBISH IN ONE BIN. Rubbish must not be left outside tents or vehicles. All glass items are your responsibility, we do not accept them at the campsite, please take them to the nearest bottle bank. (Dunnet or John O’ Groats). Do not dump blankets, duvets, covers, dog beds or any other large items in our bins, take them with you and dispose of them correctly.
Emptying of Wastewater & Toilet Water
Please make sure the chemicals you use on board do not contain formaldehyde; we will not allow you to empty any waste if the chemicals you use do contain it. Please have your chemical bottle handy for us to check. THIS SERVICE IS NOT FREE. It is £6.00 extra to empty cassettes.
Children
All children must be kept under adult supervision at all times. Your children’s safety is your responsibility.
Fire
Barbecues are allowed provided they are in a safe container/barbecue, and it is elevated off the ground so as not to burn the grass. Ask for fire bricks if they are needed. Campfires are not permitted on site due to insurance regulations.
Noise
We encourage people to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. We appreciate that sometimes it is easy to forget that noise can travel at night and ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 11pm.
Liabilities
We will not accept any liability or responsibility for the death of or personal injury to any guest. We will not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to the property of any guest, including personal belongings, cash, jewellery and motor vehicles, however caused, during your holiday.
